Job Description

The purpose of the tyre modelling and simulation engineer is to support the tyre related activities for our customer projects within the Performance Department. This role will ensure an excellent service to our customers by utilising F1 inspired tyre technical expertise and its latest methodologies of modelling and simulation, data analysis and direct tyre characterisation testing.

  • To develop, implement and use the most appropriate tyre physics and tyre modelling techniques to support customer project development.

  • To identify the most efficient way to answer our customers questions when considering the time, cost and technical constraints.

  • To propose and develop new performance concepts that deliver a performance differentiator to our customers.

  • To contribute to the continuous development of the simulation and modelling tools and measurement capabilities to improve the team’s ability to support the customers and to capitalise on the learning made on projects.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong academic background with a Mechanical, Aeronautical, Engineering Degree (2:1 minimum grade) or equivalent.

  • Experience of tyre modelling and tyre characterisation.

  • Experience with simulation and modelling tasks in vehicle dynamics or in an equivalent high-level engineering industry.

  • Appreciation of optimisation problems, vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and thermodynamics theory.

  • Ability to report and communicate complex data in a concise manner to a range of diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience using Matlab and Dymola.

  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams to tight deadlines, within budget and under minimal supervision.

  • Highly motivated and focused self-starter with excellent communication skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Architect to join the IT team at a time of significant and exciting change.

The Technical Architect role will be responsible for architecting change to the IT service offerings of Mercedes AMG PETRONAS supporting business requirements, promoting efficiency through effective implementation and use of IT systems, software and services.

Key Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of the IT infrastructure ensuring the correct architecture and technology building blocks are in place to underpin the team’s needs. They will have the following accountabilities in these areas;

  • Work closely with key stakeholders and the other Enterprise Architecture team members.

  • Lead research, evaluation, and selection of technology to underpin the designed future state of the IT infrastructure.

  • Define and be accountable for the IT Technology roadmaps that are needed to achieve the Team’s goals.

  • Assist with the development of the Technical Architecture function including process and standards.

An exciting position has become available in the applied sciences team for a new Simulation and Modelling Engineer. This position will report to the Lead Simulation and Modelling Engineer, and will work on exciting customer projects.

We are looking for pragmatic engineers with the appropriate mathematical, modelling and vehicle dynamics skills along with the ability to write quality code towards the development of our simulations in the desired environments.

Key accountabilities / duties include:

  • Develop and maintain physics models, sub-models and simulations to continuously meet the requirements of customer toolsets.

  • Ensure on-going validation and correlation of models to track and rig data to ensure robust validity of simulation results.

  • Research and use appropriate technologies to ensure the continuous development of our models and simulation tools to meet the engineering requirements of our customers.

Graduate / Early Stage OSH Professional to join the Team.

Reporting in to the Teams Head of Safety you will own the administration of the Teams safety management system (SMS). You will be required to research and input into the development of advice and guidance documentation for the Team.

You will enable our Heads of Departments and line management to implement the Teams SMS. You will work to ensure that all departments understand and discharge their responsibilities with regard to occupational health, safety and wellbeing.

You will be required to review the SMS, contributing to creating new safety standards where required and updating existing standards and guidance. Additionally, you will develop and build towards delivery of training programs, designed to support the implementation of the SMS. To ensure the system is delivering performance for the Team you will support the delivery of inspection and audit programs and prepare reports on key performance metrics.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Primarily focused on the maintenance of the Team’s Safety Management System (SMS) including the development of new material.

  • On boarding of new starters into the safety management system and delivery of safety section of new starters induction.

  • Maintenance of training records and training for fire wardens, first aiders and FLT drivers.

  • Supporting the development and delivery of training programs across key health and safety themes.

  • First stage investigation and triage of adverse events.

  • Supporting the delivery of audits and inspections.

Your relationship with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, such as printers and creative agencies, will ensure the process is as efficient as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team across the full breadth of the business with a wide spectrum of graphic elements
  • Support the Head of Design in managing a small team of designers and the team workload to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard within tight deadlines
  • Leading briefs from concept to delivery with minimal support
  • Working on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously
  • Creation of engaging, high quality and on-brand graphics for use internally and externally within established brand guidelines

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have a stand-out portfolio and a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience managing a team of designers.

They will have a proven competence of working in a similar environment, have excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign. Knowledge of Microsoft Office will be beneficial. In addition, you will have first-class organisational and time management skills and a sound attention to detail.

You will thrive working in a fast-paced, busy environment, possess excellent communication skills, have high levels of drive and be able to make decisions within a pressurised environment.
