Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering high quality travel and support co-ordination to the race and test teams and wider Mercedes-Benz Motorsport. A key focus of this role will be providing support to the Race Team in way to ensure that the team are sustainable. Whilst ensuring that the team’s values are always adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

These include but are not limited to:

  • Ownership and identification through to deployment of travel plans for anyone travelling in the team to races or for any meetings.

  • Travel with the race team to race/test events as required and be available for race team support throughout the race weekend.

  • Ensuring that travel plan is in line with the race calendar.

  • Developing team-wide communications pre, during and post events.

  • Creating through to deploying senior personnel schedules and associated partnership communications, including creating accreditation profiles and the activation of shifts.

  • Ownership and planning of all the catering including setting up the hospitality unit and garage where required.

  • Responsible for driver kit on site.

  • Liaise with key personnel from the event organisers / flight agent as well as local MB Markets to supply vehicles at race and adhoc locations.

  • Coordinate the teams security requirements.

  • Responsible for all administrative duties including reconciliations, raising of purchase orders, completion of travel logs etc.

  • Manage all PCR covid testing pre event, during and post event.

  • Arrange / procure flights, hotels/ transfers and ensure that they are all made in accordance with the Purchasing Policy.

  • Ensure all Travel process and procedures are adhered to for all travel / race events.

  • Assisting with managing the visa processing & passport management for all regular travellers

  • Identify, suggest and implement efficient ways of working in a sustainable way.

  • Provide regular feedback to Travel manager on areas of travel that can be improved and taking into consideration the wellbeing of the travelling race team.

Candidate Profile:

  • An influential, enthusiastic, and experienced travel and logistics co-ordinator who is able to demonstrate they can work collaboratively with team members.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strategic outlook, but also will be practical, pro-active, and action oriented.

  • Ability to work at all levels within an organisation and balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.

  • Able to drive through implementation of plans and programmes, capable of making decisions and delivering them through to successful outcomes.

  • Strong work ethic, energy and results orientated.

  • Able to demonstrate a level of detail that will ensure the early identification of issues and the achievement of meeting KPI’s and other commitments to the business.

  • A can-do attitude is required and must be able to work to tight deadlines
