Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Manufacturing Logistics Assistant, reporting to the Build Assembly Manager.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accurate recording and monitoring of parts shortages, tracking delivery dates against manufacturing plans and communicating any delays or issues to the Car Build Coordinator.

  • Picking and booking shortages to their production orders/build kits when parts are available and maintaining the integrity of the Missing Parts manufacturing rack.

  • Keeping an accurate record of parts sent to suppliers so that shortages are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining stock accuracy of component parts requested by suppliers.

  • Checking internal and external build kits are correct to the latest revision drawing and resolving any issues if present.

  • Organising the delivery of parts to external suppliers and liaising with suppliers regarding parts related queries, shortages and expected delivery dates.

  • Moving designed components through their various processes (inspection and additional assembly operations), co-ordinating and moving parts around the building.

  • Liaising with a wide scope of departments including Build Logistics, Inspection, Composites, Planning and Purchasing and Car Build.

  • Picking and returning parts to stores.

  • Actioning production orders and pick lists as requested.

  • Assisting with stock checking of consumable electronics stock as well as maintaining the organisation and functionality of the Electronics Workshop.

  • Any additional administrative tasks as requested by the Electronics Car Build Coordinator.

  • Strong team building and communication skills are essential.

  • Must be able to use own initiative, be self-motivated and think outside the box.

Candidate Profile:

  • Computer literate & able to learn new software quickly.

  • Good problem-solving skills with a solid analytical approach.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Willing to get involved in all aspects of the day-to-day workload of the department.
