Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Race Team Gearbox Technician to join our Championship winning team to be responsible for accurately building and servicing Gearbox Assemblies within the Gearbox Department and supporting the customer trackside.

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Attend all races and tests as required to support the customer

  • Preparing new main cases for build and build gearbox sub-assemblies ensuring that all of the procedures and quality checks are followed

  • Complete build and set-up of gearbox assemblies ensuring all the correct quality documentation is used.

  • Changing ratios on gearbox assys.

  • Hydraulic system fitment & bleeding

  • Measuring/ shimming and fitment of clutch packs

  • Attend race and test events as required to support the Race Team

  • Constructive reporting of issues or failures

  • Ensure quality of build by using all the sign off tools provided as per the gearbox build procedures.

  • Using SAP to create build sheets & ensure assembled components have enough mileage to complete event.

  • Ensuring builds are to latest specification

  • Maintaining good housekeeping at all times

  • Carrying out similar skilled duties as and when required

The successful candidate will display the following attributes and experience:

  • Previous experience in F1

  • Good knowledge of quality systems

  • Strong computer skills

  • SAP experience
